We are ordinary people who believe that God is real and makes a real difference in people's lives. We gather together on Sundays, to worship God, and to learn and fellowship together. Our desire is know Jesus better and to make Jesus better known, and we seek to listen to the Spirit and follow his prompting. We are a church that caters on Sundays (in our services) and throughout the week (through various activities) for people of all ages and all abilities. Sundays On Sundays we have a Morning Service which begins at 10:30am (lasting to around 11:45am). This is followed by refeshments (coffee, tea, biscuits!) and on the first Sunday of the month we stay for a bring & share lunch together to which all are welcome. We are currently meeting in the Wollaston Village Hall in the High Street during the period of our building redevelopment. In the morning service the children & youth stay in for the first 20 to 30 minutes or so, after which they go to their own age related activities - these are held in the Village Hall and The Oasis room next door. The exception to this is on the 1st Sunday, which is the all-age service and they stay for the duration of the service (except for pre-school children who go into their own creche). We do not have an Evening Service currently whilst we are in the village Hall. However, we are continuing our monthly time of prayer (Prayer Together) which begins at 6pm (finishing at 7pm) and is in the Oasis Room (Hgh Street). After the time of Prayer Together there occassionally an oportunity to go round someone's house for Coffee & Cakes - a great incentive for prayer !
We are blessed by several musicians and singers who lead us with a mixture of traditional and modern music and songs. Prayer is available following the morning service should anyone desire - just ask our Pastor Michael or one of the Deacons. We are always happy to pray with and for people. |
